Programs
Fun & Creativity
Art
Art is incorporated into our everyday activities. Since art is a precursor to writing and a great creative outlet, we use open-ended materials to facilitate creativity.
Music
We use songs and instruments to enrich our curriculum.
Movement
Young children need to move! We use flexible seating so that the children can work where they are comfortable. We also encourage movement in other ways, such as Total Physical Response (TPR) and make sure we get lots of gross motor time.
Mathematics
Math in the younger years helps them make sense of their world. We build on prior knowledge and capitalize on “teachable moments”. We start with concrete materials and work up to age-appropriate, abstract concepts.
Reading and Language
We develop literacy by exposing the children to many forms of oral and written language, including read-alouds, poetry, storytelling, print, and dramatic play. We are excited to offer Spanish and Children’s Theater as part of our curriculum.
Nature and Outside Play
There are so many benefits to being outside-too many to list! We love nature because it builds confidence, promotes imagination, teaches responsibility, provides different stimulation, reduces stress, and it makes them think and ask questions!
